The U.S. House has impeached Donald Trump for the second time for inciting an armed insurrection on Congress, our democracy, and our country.

The Senate must now convict, and remove him from office, and they must do so as soon as possible. Further, they also must disqualify Trump from holding public office again.
Trump fomented and inflamed a violent, racist attack that killed five people, and directly endangered hundreds of elected officials. We have no patience for apologists who complain that removing him from office now would be “divisive.”
The only way to unite our country is to hold Trump accountable, and to ensure that this never happens again. That means a vote to convict, remove and disqualify Trump from office.
Senate Republicans cannot have it both ways. They denounce Trump’s peddling of false conspiracy theories and decry the violence he incited, but then refuse to hold him accountable.
