Ademola Olojade Alade Aylola Lookman is a professional footballer that plays forward for a series A club Atlanta. He is born to a Nigerian parents made him eligible to be on the National team. He has emerged one of Africa’s brightest star.
This year Lookman became the seventh Nigerian to win the CAF men’s award. He received is trophy at Morocco when Palais des Congrès hosted a remarkable gathering of African football talent.
Thud award is duly deserved when we take consideration the work he has put in for the country and the club. His pace, quick foot, his style of play and control makes him lobed by allt of people. He also earned a 10/10 rating from L’equipé.
Lookman has followed Osimen’s footsteps making it the first time a back to back award has been won since the time of Nwankwo Kanu in 1996. S yeah, it is a big deal.
“It is an incredible achievement and an incredible moment,” Lookman said. “It is special to join a list of many great players who have achieved a lot in the game. They are legends.
“There are a lot of special moments that happened this year, I can speak about a lot of good moments. But also the bad moments, when you don’t want to do gym, but you end up doing that session and that gives you more strength. The difficult moments have given me that extra strength.
“For us to be able to give inspiration to the young kids who want to be like us is the most important thing. If we can set a good example, they have good footsteps to follow.”
Lookman also addreses his supportive fans
“I am very appreciative of your love and care, and kind words in the bad moments also, not just the good moments. The people who show you love in the difficult moments are the people who you are most grateful too.”
He played a crucial role in helping Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations. He helped the country to finals. His display and goals made him to be named in the team of tournaments.
