President Bola Tinubu has directed the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to intensify highway monitoring following a fatal auto crash in Kaduna. The accident, which claimed several lives, prompted the president to call for improved road safety measures and enhanced monitoring on major highways across the country.
Tinubu emphasized the need for the FRSC to adopt proactive strategies to prevent future accidents and ensure the safety of road users. He urged the agency to increase its presence on highways, deploy more personnel, and utilize advanced technology to monitor traffic and enforce road safety regulations.
In response, the FRSC pledged to increase patrols, monitor road conditions, and educate drivers on safe driving practices, aiming to reduce the frequency of accidents on Nigeria’s highways.
