Job Description
Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to develop plans for purchasing raw and packaging materials, equipment, services, and supplies. Enforce the company’s procurement policies and procedures. Review, compare, and analyze products and services for purchase. Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records. Update and maintain supplier information, including qualifications, delivery times, and product ranges. Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts. Research and evaluate potential suppliers. Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate data to identify opportunities for value creation within the supply chain. Support the development and implementation of category strategies. Serve as the key local interface between suppliers and internal customers to resolve supplier non-conformance and manage supplier escalation/re-scheduling. Work with the Procurement Manager to develop and execute procurement strategies. Develop and agree on Service Level Agreements with internal customers. Implement risk management programs and supply measurement tools to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- University degree in any commercial discipline.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, including procurement, in a fast-paced, value-adding blue-chip FMCG environment.
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g., GIPS, ISM, MBA) is desirable. Must be capable of rapidly understanding world-class procurement systems and practices, including category management processes and associated tools.
